Hi, I’m Jasmine. I wanted to start this blog to share… well, my life, I guess. So, I suppose I will start with my heritage - my Mum’s from England and Ireland and my Dad’s Moroccan, although he would tell you he is Arabian. They were fated to meet. You see, Dad travelled from Morocco to Spain and settled in a small town called Alhucemas. At the time, Mum was still in the UK and wanted to travel. One day, she stuck a pin in a map, and it landed on Alhucemas. She went with my nan and met my dad in some cafe and they ‘fell in love’, got married and blah blah blah.
Then, I was born!
Apparently, I was always smiling, but I don't think that's true. Mum had to return to boring England and stayed at my Nan's house; shortly after, Dad followed. Eventually, my brother and sister were born. They then got a house. (still in England) To be honest, the house was a complete wreck when we first got it. And Mum and Dad decided to renovate. ONE YEAR AND A HALF LATER. They decided to build an extension. I'm glad they did (I think) FIVE YEARS LATER. The extension is almost done. But now, we’re moving to Morocco to start all over again.
ME
I love to draw. I like to draw all sorts of stuff: little shops, animals, people, clothes, plants and literally almost anything. I love leaving doodles on scraps of paper wherever I go for someone to find later. I don’t, however, like to paint unless it's abstract. I love music, reggae, hip-hop, garage, rap and just upbeat songs. I can also play the guitar. Fun fact: I don't go to school. I am home-educated, but that doesn’t mean I fit any of the stereotypes you hear of on the internet or at school. I am ahead in English, I AM sociable, and I am sometimes awkward, but that's normal, right? And I can, in fact, function in society. And I am definitely NOT a social outcast. I have a lot of friends, too, so yeah, I do not fit the ‘weird home-educated kid’ stereotype.
